Classic Cape Rides

  Road bike
Suitable for Sport and Elite level riders
5 Day Tour: 4 days riding, 1 days transfer, and no rest days

A good solid four days of riding on Cape Town’s most iconic routes. If you’re pressed for time, this is the tour option for you.

Day 1: Arrive/Transfer and Bike Build

If time permits, we can do a short ride to test your bike and sample what’s to come.

Overnight in Cape Town

Day 2: Tour de Peninsula – 104km (1400m altitude gain)

We start the tour with an old favourite, as we follow most of the spectacular Cape Town Cycle Tour route. Our ride deviates slightly to take in a scenic lighthouse climb and to avoid the busy roads closer to Cape Town’s CBD.

Overnight in Cape Town

Day 3: Bainskloof Pass – 100km (1140m altitude gain)

After a transfer to Stellenbosch we leave the historic town and pass some of the region’s grand old wine estates before reaching the focus of the day—the climb up Bainskloof Pass. Fortunately what goes up must come down! After a well deserved lunch we transfer back to Stellenbosch

Overnight in Stellenbosch

Day 4: Clarence Drive – 110km (1050m altitude gain)

We start in Stellenbosch and head out over rolling hills taking in the stunning views of False Bay. After negotiating our way through the Strand and Gordon’s Bay, we enjoy one of the longest and most scenic coastal roads in the country. We finish today’s stage in the beautiful holiday town of Hermanus.

Overnight in Hermanus

Day 5: Three Passes – 85km (1400m altitude gain)

This classic route is an absolutely awesome ride and is as scenic as it gets. As the route name implies, there is some good climbing and lots of fresh country air. After lunch in Stellenbosch we transfer back to your hotel in Cape Town.
